Heavy heart is because, the current company is not a bad company. Prospects are good, boss is great not to mention downright good looking ( he don't read this blog), so it is a hard decision to make. The bottom line is, I got some mortgages that I need to feed besides the numerous dependent organism in the household. It is also a stepping stone for project greater good.
Some said this is not the first resignation, so why the heavy heart. However, first resignation and this resignation is totally different. The first time I was so desperate to leave because there was no prospect and the boss was too thin ( yeah, he don't read this blog too). I was also underpaid according the general consensus of buddies, friends, family and enemies. So it was great to leave at that time. Irony, my housemate is now working in my old company. But things are different now for the better.
Second major difference was when I tendered last time was my breakfast, lunch and dinner was basically booked full for 3 working weeks. No joke yeah! My resignation here is a bit hush hush ( don't want to influence the shaky spirit of the people), so I don't get many farewell invitations. Don't get me wrong, this is not a complaint. It's just comparing the 2 resignations that I made and both had significant impact on what I am today. (ok...looking like a farewell email already..)
Anyway, the other side is buying out 2 months of my notice and thus I will officially be jobless on 8th October. If you count the working days and holidays in between, I only have 8 days left to transfer almost 5.5 years worth of the good, the bad and the ugly to my staffs. Bless them..
